Let the ratio be k:1

∴By section formula<

(2,y)=(3k-2/k+1) , (7k+2/k+1)

∴3k-2/k+1=2

3k-2=2k+2

3k-2k=2+2

k=4

∴The ratio is 4:1

∴y=7k+2/k+1

y=28+2/4+1

y=30/5

y=6
