P(x,y) = ( Section formula )

$x = \frac{ k( - 1) + 1(5)}{k + 1}$

$y = \frac{k( - 4) + 1( - 6)}{k + 1}$

Then ,

$x = \frac{ - k + 5}{k + 1}$

$y = \frac{ - 4k - 6}{k + 1}$

Then,

But , P lies on y axis , So , its coordinate is 0 .

$0 = \frac{ - k + 5}{k + 1}$

$k = 5$

Ratio is 5:1
