Find the ratio in which y-axis divides the line segment joining the points A(5,-6) and B(-1,-4). Also, find the coordinates of the point of division.

=>let y-axis divides the line segment in k:1.
=>by segment formula
=>-k+5/k+1 = 0 || 4k-6/k+1 = y
=>transposing k+1 to R.H.S
=>-K+5 =0 || putting value of k .
=>-K=-5 || -4(5)-6/5+1 = y
=>K=5 || -20-6/ 6 = y

-26/6 = y---> y=-13/3
