ind the ratio of two circumferences of
circles whose radii are 7 cm and 12 cm

To find: The ratio of 2πr1/2πr2

We know,that the circumference of a circle is 2πr. Let the circumference 1 be 2πr1 and the circumference 2, 2πr2.

Given: r1 (radius 1)=7cm and r2(radius 2)=12cm.

Now,

Value of π = 22/7.

Therefore,

2×22/7×7...... (circumference 1)

=44.

And,

2×22/7×12......(circumference 2)

=

 \frac{528}{7}

Now the ratio of these 2 circumferences are:

 \frac{44}{528 \div 7}

 \frac{308}{528}

ie, 0.583...
