Solution :

12a² + 35b² - 43ab = 0

Rearranging the terms, we get

12a² - 43ab + 35b² = 0

Splitting the middle term, we

get

=> 12a²-28ab-15ab+35b²=0

=> 4a(3a-7b)-5b(3a-7b)=0

=> (3a-7b)(4a-5b)=0

=> 3a-7b = 0 or 4a-5b=0

=> 3a = 7b or 4a = 5b

=> a:b = 7:3 or a:b=5:4
