Everywhere maths and maths !!!

Formula :

Curved surface area of a cone = π r l

Let the first cone's radius be r₁

Let the second cone's radius be r₂

Their curved surface area are to be found

Given :

Slant height of 2 cones are in ratio 3 : 4 .

Diameters are equal .

Let the Slant heights be 3 x and 4 x

According to the problem :

l₁ = 3 x

l₂ = 4 x

So ratio :

π r₁ ( 3 x ) : π r₂ ( 4 x )

==> r₁ = r₂  ==> so r₁ / r₂ = 1

Hence after cancelling π we get :

Ratio = 3 x / 4 x

         = 3 : 4

ANSWER :

The ratio of the CSA of the cones will be 3 : 4
