Given p1 = 60 W , v1 = 220v , p2 = 60w and v2 = 110v
let the resistances of two bulbs be r1 and r2 respectively..
since, we know that
P = V²/R
R = V²/P
Now the ratio of resistance of 2 bulbs is given by -
R1/R2 = V²1 /P1 / V²2/P2
= (220)²/60/(110)²/60
= 48400/12100 = 4:1
= R1 : R2 = 4 : 1..
