So let us assume the diameter to be 'd'
So the radius will be r =d/2
And let the heights be 'h'
Right, Now
We know,
Volume of cone = 1/3 × pie × r^2 × h
Volume of cylinder = pie × r^2 × h
So to find the ratio we must divide the above terms
Therefore,
Vol (cone) /vol(cylinder) =1/3 ÷ 1
Hence the ratio is
1:3
