Closed circuit :

3Ω and 3Ω are in series =3+3=6Ω

6Ω is in parallel with 3Ω

=2Ω

2Ω is in series with 0.5Ω and 0.5 Ω resistances

Total resistance is

3Ω

$V=IR \\ I = \frac{V}{R}$

$I = \frac{3}{3}$

$I = 1Ω$

Ammeter reading when circuit is closed is 1 A.
