Given, polynomial, p(x)=2x
3+5x 2−3x−2 divided by (x−1).
The polynomial is divided by (x−1) .
Then put (x−1)=0⟹ x=1
we get,
p(1)= 2(1) 3+5(1) 2−3(1)−2
⇒p(1)=2+5−3−2
⇒p(1)=2+5−5
⇒p(1)=2.
I hope it helps
