from 1-3x=0
we have 3x=1
Or, x=1/3
hence the remainder is P(1/3)
=(1/3)^3-6(1/3)^2+2(1/3)-4
=1/27-6×1/9+2/3-4
=1/27-6/9+2/3-4
=(1-6×3+2×9-4×27)/27
=(1-18+18-108)/27
= -107/27
