p(x) = x³+3x+1

By using remainder theorem,

let x+1=0

x = -1

Therefore,

put x = -1 in polynomial p(x).

p(-1)=(-1)³+3(-1)+1

p(-1)=(-1)-3+1

p(-1)=-3

Hence, Remainder = -3
