let p(x)=x^3+3x^2+3x+1
let g(x)=x-1/2
x=1/2
p(1/2)=1/8+3/4+3/2+1
LCM of 8,4,2,1=8 to make denominator same
1/8+6/8+12/8+8/8
p(1/2)=27/8
So the remainder is 27/5 when p(x)is divided by g(x)

X-1/2=0
X=1/2
(1/2)^3 + 3(1/2)^2 +3(1/2) + 1
1/8 + 3/4 + 3/2 +1
1/8+6/8+12/8+8/8. Lcm = 8
27/8
So the remainder is 27/8....
