Divisor: x – 12 [Let it be = g(x)]

Dividend: x³ – 3x² + 3x – 1 [Let it be = p(x)]

Zero of g(x):-

x – 12 = 0

x = 12

Putting the value of 'x' in p(x):-

p(x) = x³ – 3x² + 3x – 1

∴ p(12) = (12)³ – 3(12)² + 3(12) – 1

= 1728 – 3(144) + 36 – 1

= 1728 – 432 + 36 – 1

= 1331 [Remainder]
