Answer:

By remainder theorem = p( -1 )

p( x ) = x^3 + 3x^2+3x +1

p ( -1 ) = (-1)^3 + 3( -2)^2 +3(-1)+1

= -1 +12 - 3 + 1

= 9

Therefore the remainder is 9
