Find the resultant of two vectors P = 3 i + 2 j and Q = 2 i + 3 j.

In solution of this question to find resultant they have directly added P and Q and then found magnitude of it. But they have not used the formula for finding resultant that is \/ P^2 + Q^2 + 2PQ cos(angle)

Hey mate!
your answer is here....
if you are finding resultant then,
R = P+Q
R = (3+2)i + (2+3)j
R = 5i + 3j ..."The resultant is in vector form"
Now if you are asked for magnitude of the resultant..then,
apply the formula R2= P2 +Q2 +2PQ cos theta

hope this is helpful...
