Find the resultant temperature, when 50 gm substance at 50 degrees and 20gm substance at 20 degrees are mixed

For the same substance specific heat will be same.so, from principle of method mixtures the formula for resultant temperature is given by......                       T=(m1*s1*t1+m2*s2*t2)/(m1*s1+m2*s2)                                                     by substituting the given values we get,                                          T=(50*s*50+20*s*20)/(50*s+20*s)                                                     where s=specific heat of substance                                             on solving we get,T=(2500*s+400*s)/70*s                                       which is equal to,                                              T=2900*s/70*s=2900/70=41.4 degree Celsius
