Given Quadratic Equation :

3x² - 5x + 2 = 0

To Find :

The roots of the above quadratic equation

Solution :

3x² - 5x + 2 = 0

⇒ 3x² - 3x - 2x + 2 = 0

⇒ 3x (x - 1) -2 (x-1) = 0

⇒ (3x - 2) (x-1) = 0

Now we can note the , this is only possible only in two cases.

Case 1 :

(3x - 2) = 0

Then , x = 2/3

Case 2 :

(x - 1) = 0

Then, x = 1

∴ The roots of the quadratic equation are 2/3 and 1.
