 x =\frac{3}{2} , 1 are the roots of the equation

This expression can be factored into (2x-3)(x-1).

We can set each of these factors equal to 0 in order to find the roots

so. 2x-3=0

We need to isolate the x, so we first need to add 3 to each side.

This gives us 2x=3

Next we need to divide each side by 2.

This gives us  x =\frac{3}{2}

For the next one, x-1 =0

We need to add 1 to each side.

This gives us x = 1

This means that the roots of the expression are x =\frac{3}{2} , 1
