2x {}^{2}  + x - 10 = 0 \\ 2x {}^{2} + 5x - 4x - 10 = 0 \\ 2x {}^{2} - 4x + 5x - 10 = 0 \\ 2x(x - 2) + 5(x - 2) = 10 \\ (x - 2)(2x + 5) = 0 \\ so \\ x - 2 = 0 \\ and \\ 2x + 5 = 0 \\ therefore \\ x = 2 \\ and \\ x =    \frac{ - 5}{2}

Solution :-

Q: 2x² + x - 10 = 0

=> 2x² - 4x + 5x - 10 = 0

=> 2x(x - 2) + 5(x - 2) = 0

=> (2x + 5) (x - 2) = 0

=> x = - 5/2 or x = 2

Hence,

The two roots are - 5/2 and 2
