Hi friend

Your answer
-------------------

★ FINDING ROOTS OF EQUATION BY FACTORISATION
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3(x - 4)² - 5(x - 4) = 12

=> 3(x - 4)² - 5(x - 4) - 12 = 0

=> 3(x - 4)² - 9(x - 4) + 4(x - 4) - 12 = 0

=> 3(x - 4){(x - 4) - 3} + 4{(x - 4) - 3} = 0

=> (x - 4 - 3)(3x - 12 + 4) = 0

=> (x - 7)( 3x - 8) = 0

So,
-----

x - 7 = 0

=> x = 7

Again,
-----------

3x - 8 = 0

=> x = 8/3

Therefore,
-----------------

The roots of the equation are 7 and 8/3.

HOPE IT HELPS
