Find the roots of the following quadratic equations ,if they exist , by the formula method
i. x^2 - 4 √2x + 6 = 0
ii. 1/x - 1/x-2 = 3 , x ≠ 0,2

Answer:

x²-4√2x+6 = 0

=> x²-3√2x-√2x+6 = 0

=> x(x-3√2) - √2(x-3√2) = 0

=> (x-√2) (x-3√2)
