The society before the revolution;france before the revolution was under monchary rule.

the society before the revolution was based on privilages by birth so the nobles and clergy did not not pay taxes it was because feudal society that the third estate had to pay the taxes the nobles enjoyed the privilages of taking the money from peasants and the peasants use to repay them by working in their houses the peasants had to pay thetithes the tax levied by church and the nobles were exempted from paying any tax due to major land owned by the nobles itself before the revolution women were discriminated in the french society the lower castes women did not have access to education only the first and second estate were allowed to study women of the third estate had to do odd jobs 

the society after the revolution:

the monarchy system was abolished the constitution came in the ideas of liberty and democracy were spread among the people the ideals of fraternity liberty freedom and justice was spread among people it banned censorship 

the declaration of rights of man were also included it was also each and every person has right to vote each vote ha a value the clothing of people became simpler and even for all but even though passive citizens were not given the right to vote efforts were put in to improve the lives of women they could against their father divorce was legalised schools were set up and schooling was made complusory
