Given :-

  • Quadratic equation : 2x + x - 6 = 0

To Find :-

  • The roots of the quadratic equation.

Solution :-

Given that, 2x² + x - 6 = 0

[ By splitting middle term, we get : ]

➡ 2x² + 4x - 3x - 6 = 0

➡ 2x(x + 2) - 3(x + 2) = 0

➡ (x + 2) (2x - 3) = 0

➡ x + 2 = 0

➡2x - 3 = 0

➡ x = -2

➡ x = 3/2

➡ x = ( -2 , 3/2 )

Hence,

 \large { \boxed{ \rm{ \red{ \underline{The \:  roots \:  of  \: the \:  quadratic  \: equation  \: is  \: x = ( -2  \: ,  \frac{3}{2} ) .}}}}}
