Step-by-step explanation:

6 {x}^{2}  - x - 2 = 0

  =  > 6 {x}^{2}  - (4 - 3)x - 2 = 0

 =  > 6 {x}^{2}  - 4x + 3x - 2 = 0

 =  > 2x(x - 2) + 3(x - 2) = 0

 =  > (x - 2)(2x + 3) = 0

Either, x -2=0

=> x = 2

Or, 2x+3=0

=> 2x = -3

=> x = -3/2

The roots of the quadratic equation are 2 and -3/2.
