x² + x - 30

here, a = 1, b = 1 and c = -30

Lets find if it has any roots.... using

b² - 4ac

1 -4(1)(-30)

1 + 120

121 > 0

so it has roots....

Using Shreedharacharya rule....

x = -b ±√b²-4ac/2a

x = -1 + √121/2 , -1 - √121/2

x = -1 + 11/2 , - 1 - 11/2

x = 10/2 , -12/2

x = 5 , -6
