x²-4x -8 = 0

x²-4x = 8

x²-4x+4 = 8+4 = 12

(x-2)² = 12

x-2 =√12 = +2√3 or -2√3

x = -2√3+2 or x = 2√3+2

hence, x+2√3-2 = 0

x-2√3-2 = 0

Hope it helps you...
