c.p of fan =560+40 rupees of repairing
=600
and after s.p they find 5% profit than
5% of 600
5\100×600= 30
than selling price is 30+600
=630rupees

The selling price is Rs. 630.

Given - Percentage and cost price

Find - Selling price

Solution - The complete cost price of fan will be sum of buying price and expense made on repairs.

So, finding the cost price of fan.

Cost price = 560 + 40

Cost price = 600

Now, relating selling price, cost price and profit percentage through the equation -

Selling price = \frac{100 \: +profit\%}{100} \times cost price

Keep the values in formula to find the value of selling price

Selling price = \frac{100 + 5}{100} \times 600

Selling price = \frac{105}{100} \times 600

Cancelling common zeroes in numerator and denominator

Selling price = 105 \times 6

Performing multiplication

Selling price = 630

Hence, the selling price for fan should be Rs. 630.
