diameter of bigger circle = 10 cm

radius = 10 / 2 = 5

diameter of smaller circle = 8cm

radius = 8/ 2 = 4

area of shaded region = area of bigger circle - area of smaller circle

area of circle = πr^2

= 3.14 × 5^2 - 3.14 × 4^2

= 78.5 - 50.24

= 28.26

area of shaded region = 28.26cm ^2
