Given:

  • Area of square :- 196 m²

To find:

  • Sides of square
  • Perimeter

Solution:

Area of square = 196 m²

As we know:

★Area of square = (side)²

Putting the values in the formula,

→ (side)² = 196

→ side = √196

→ side = 14 m

  • All sides of square = 14 m.

Converting m into cm:-

  • 14× 10 = 140 cm

★ Perimeter of square = 4 × side

→ 4 × 140

→ 56 cm

  • Perimeter of square= 56 cm.

Hence,

  • Sides of square = 14m
  • Perimeter of square = 56 cm.

Given

  • Area of the square is 196 m².

To find

  • Side of the square (in meter)
  • Perimeter of the square (in cm)

Solution

  • Let the each side of the square be x.

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:\underline{\sf{\red{Area\: of\: square\: is\: given\: by}}}

Area = side × side

→ Area = 196

→ side × side = 196

→ x² = 196

→ x = √196

x = 14 m

  • We get each side of the square is 14m.

(In cm)

» side = 140cm

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:\underline{\sf{\red{Perimeter\: of\: the\: square}}}

Perimeter = 4 × side

→ Perimeter = 4 × x

→ Perimeter = 4 × 140

Perimeter = 560 cm

  • We get, perimeter of the square is 560cm.

Hence,

  • Length of each side of the square is 14m.
  • Perimeter of the square is 560cm.
