To Find : sign of the quotient of (a-b)/ab

Solution:

a is +ve and b is - ve

a - b

a + (-b)

a is + be

b is -ve => -b is +ve

Hence a - b is  +  ve

a is +ve  and b is - ve

Hence   (a-b)/ab  =  ( + ve)/ (+ve)(-ve)  

=  -ve

Hence sign of the quotient of (a-b)/ab is -ve
