first we have to calculate number of days between 23 dec to 29 july. (remember 23rd dec should also be counted and in February there is 29 days as it's leap year)
total days are 220
int = principle × rate × time
int = 5000×8%×220÷366
int= 240.44
amount = principle + int = 5000 + 240.44
amount = 5240.44
