We know that

SI= $\frac{PRT}{100}$  and A = P + SI

Here,

P = Rs.7200

R = 5%

T = 8 months = $\frac{2}{3}$

So,

SI = $\frac{7200*5*2}{3*100}$ = $\frac{72000}{300}$ = Rs.240

So, to compute the amount,

A = 7200 + 240 = Rs. 7440
