heya

here is ur answer

➡ formula :-y2-y1/x2-x1

here :-

x1=0

X2= 8

y1= -4

y2=0

⭐ as it is passing from the mid point , divide it by 2

(0,-4)/2,(8,0)/2

so (-2),(4)

hence the slope is -2/4 = -1/2

AaanyaKandwal: But sis the answer is -1/2
Anonymous: if the value of y1 is 4 then the answer will be -1/2
AaanyaKandwal: OK thnxx

Hi ,

Mid point of P( 0, - 4 ) and B( 8, 0)

= [ ( 0 + 8 )/2 , ( -4 + 0 ) /2 ]

= ( 4 , - 2 )

Now ,

Slope of a line passing through origin

and point ( 4 , - 2 )

slope ( m ) = y/x

m = -2/4

m = -1/2

I hope this helps you.

Anonymous: I have a doubt
Anonymous: y did u divided it by 2
mysticd: mid point of joining the points ( x1 , y1 ) and ( x2 , y2 ) = [ ( x1+x2)/2 , ( y1 + y2 ) /2 ]
Anonymous: ok ,thnq
mysticd: we have find out the slope of a line which passes through the mid point of PB and the origin
mysticd: is it clear
Anonymous: yes
