 =  \frac{7 - 3}{1 - 4}  \\  \\  =  \frac{4}{ - 3}  \\  \\  =   - \frac{4}{3}

If m be the slope of the above perpendicular line, then

(m)( -  \frac{4}{3} ) =  - 1 \\  \\ or \:  \: m =  \frac{3}{4}

So the slope of the perpendicular line is = 3/4.
