You should add 69 to get prefect sq.
When we use division method we get -69 remaining.
So we add 69 in 1780
      1780 + 69 = 1849
So, √1849 = 43

Answer:

69

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find: Find the least number which must be added to 1780 to obtain a perfect square.

Solution :

\sqrt{1780}=42.190

since the square root of given number is 42.190

so, the perfect square root will be 43

so, 43*43=1849

Thus \sqrt{1849} =43

So, the least number which must be added to 1780 = 1849-1780

                                                                                      = 69

Hence, the least number which must be added to 1780 to obtain a perfect square is 69
