Answer:

2x+y=21

y=21 -2x (equation 1)

3x + 5y =59 (2)

substituting equation 1 in 2

3x + 5(21 - 2) = 59

3x +105 - 10 =59

3x = 59 - 95

3x = - 36

× = -12

x= -12 sub in equation 1

2(-12) + y =21

-24 +y = 21

y = 21 + 24

y = 45

hope my ans. is correct

thank you :)

note on the step 3x + y(21 -2)

2x will not come i mean x variable will not come while we multiply with 5y

hope u understand

Answer:

very easy

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+y=21

y=21-2x

now by putting this value in second equation

3x+5y=59

3x+5(21-2x)=59

3x+105-10x=59

-7x=59-105

-7x=-46

x=46/7

now by putting this value

92/7+y=21

92+7y=147

7y=147-92

7y=55

y=55/7
