x-y = 3

x = 3+y

------------

x+y = 7

3+y + y =7

3 + 2y = 7

2y = 7-3

y = 4÷2 = 2 Ans





Now,

x - y = 3

x - 2 = 3

x = 3+2=5 Ans...
