Answer:

5x-2y=-24

x-y=5

or x=5+y

replacing the value of x in first equation

5(5+y)-2y=-24

25+5y-2y=-24

3y=-49

y=-49/3

thus x = 5+(-49/3)

x= 15-49/3

x=-35/3

Answer:

 {\huge{\overbrace{\underbrace{\pink{Answer-}}}}}

5x+2y= -24...(1)

x-y= 5...(2)

x= 5+y

by putting the value of x in equation 1.

5x+2y= -24

5(5+y)+2y= -24

25+5y+2y= -24

25+7y= -24

7y= -24-25

7y= -49

y= -49/7

y= -7.

by putting the value of y in equation 2.

x-y= 5

x-(-7)= 5

x+7= 5

x= 5-7

x= -2.

therefore x= -2,y= -7.
