ACCORDING TO THE CONDITIONS

Y = X+ 8 ----(1)

Y = -2X -1 ----(2)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (1) IN EQ (2)

X + 8 = -2X -1

3X = -9

X = -3 ------(3)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (3) IN EQ (1)

Y = -3 +8

Y = 5

THEREFORE ,

X = -3

Y = 5

first condition

y=8y +x

x=-7y

put it in second condition

x+8y=-2x-1

y=14y-1

y=1/13

so ,X=-7/13
