The square of 102, using the identity :

 \bf (a + b)(a - b) =  {a}^{2}  + 2ab +  {b}^{2}  \\  \\  \bf Here \: let  \\  \bf a = 100  \:  \:  \:  \:  and  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: b = 2 \\  \bf then \: we \: get :  \\  \\ \bf (100 + 2)(100 + 2) \\   \bf = (100)^{2}  + 2(100)(2) +  {(2)}^{2}  \\  \bf = 10000 + 2(200) + 4 \\  \bf = 10000 + 400 + 4 \\  \bf = 10404
