  • first draw a line of 3.5 cm.
  • again extend the line by taking 1 cm ok.
  • now, take the compass and place the pointer at the end of the line which we extend of 1 cm.
  • draw two arc on the both sides of the line and now take the pointer and place it on the first 3.5 cm lines first point and again draw an arc cutting both the others arc.
  • now the arc is cut so join both the arc by drawing line a straight line which is similar to perpendicular .
  • next the line cuts the line which we drawn before place the pointer at the cut area and draw a semicircle which must meet the ending of the line .
  • now we have drawn 1 cm extend draw a 90°at that point which will meet somewhere at the semicircle .
  • place the pointer at the 90° bottom point and take the measurement at where the pointer 90 had cut draw an arc meeting the line.
  • the place where it cuts the line is ✓3.5. //
