 \sqrt{6 + 4 \sqrt{2 } }  =  \sqrt{6 + 2 \sqrt{8} }  =  \sqrt{4 + 2 + 2 \sqrt{4 \times 2} }  =  \sqrt{4 }  +  \sqrt{2}  = 2 +  \sqrt{2}
