let us take p(x) = 0 
⇒ x²-3 = 0 
(sending 3 on the other side) 
⇒ x² = 3 
(sending root to the other side) 
⇒ x = ± √3 
∴ the zeroes of x²-3 are +√3 and -√3 
Let +√3 = α 
      -√3  = β 
Sum of the zeroes - 
⇒ α+β
⇒ √3 + (-√3) 
⇒ 0 

Product of the zeroes - 
⇒ α×β 
⇒ √3 × -√3 
⇒ -3

Here,
a=1
b=0
c=-3
sum of zeroes=-b/a
                      =0/1
                      =0
product of zeroes=c/a
                           =-3/1
