Given :   all natural number less then 50 and which are neither divisible by 5 nor 2

To find :  Sum using an AP

Solution:

All natural number less than 50

1 , 2 , 3 . ......................................................................, 49

Sum = 49(50)/2  =  1225

Divisible by 5

5 , 10 , .........................................................................., 45

Sum =  5( 1 + 2 + ..............+ 9)

= 5 * 9 * 10/2

= 225

Divisible by 2

2 , 4 , .........................................................................., 48

Sum =  2( 1 + 2 + ..............+ 24)

= 2 * 24 * 25/2

= 600

Divisible by 5 & Divisible by 2 Has  Common terms divisible by 10

Divisible by 10

10 , 20 , ........................................................................, 40

Sum =  10( 1 + 2 + ..............+ 4)

= 10 * 4 * 5/2

= 100

sum of all natural number less then 50 and which are neither divisible by 5 nor 2    = 1225 - 225  - 600 + 100

= 500
