Step-by-step explanation:
Sum of bases=Area×2Height=4.2×22.8m=42×2×1010×28=3 m. Find the sum of the lengths of the bases of a trapezium whose area is 4.2 m2 and whose height is 280 cm. Find the height of a trapezium, the sum of the lengths of whose bases (parallel sides) is 60 cm and whose area is 600 cm2.

Answer:
Given,
Area of the given trapezium: 4.2 Sq m = (4.2×100)Sq cm =420 Sq cm .
= 42000 cm [: . 1m=100cm]
Height : 280cm
To find : sum of length of the bases of the given trapezium.
Solution :
Since,
Area of trapezium= 1/2 × ( sum of length of bases) ×Height
(Substituting the values of Area and height which is already given in the question)
42000= 1/2 × ( sum of length of bases) × 280
42000= ( sum of length of bases) × 140
therefore,
sum of length of bases =42000/140=3 cm
Answer =300 cm
