Find the sum of series 2 8 24 64....upto 100 terms

Look upon the series carefully
2,8,24,64,,......100

8 - 2 = 6
6 * 4 = 24

24 - 8 = 16
16 * 4 = 64

64 - 24 = 40
40 * 4 = 100

now last two number
100 - 64 = 36
36 * 4 = 204
so Next number of the sequence is 204

Another Method can be
Given series 
2,8,24,64,,.....100
2 = 2
2 * 2 * 2 = 8
2 * 2 * 2 * 3 = 24
2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 4 = 64

So answer will be option 8
