Step-by-step explanation:

100–500, first multiple of 8 is 104.

From 104 to 500, there are 396 numbers.

Between 396 numbers, there 49 mutplies of 8 ( 396/8=49.5,round down)

Thus first multiple of 8 plus 49 more equals 50. There are 50 multiple of 8s between 100 and 500.

The sequence is 10 , 17 ...

a = 10

d = 7

tn = 100

a + d(n-1) = 100

90÷7 + 1 = n

We will take the greater part therefore n = 14

t14 = a + 13d

t14 = 101

tn = a + d(n-1)

300 -10÷7 + 1 = n

we will take the smaller value of n in this case n = 42

t42 = a + 41d

t42 = 297

Total terms between 100 and 300 = 42-14= 28

Sum = n/2×(a + l)

= 28÷2×(101+297)

hence

Sum = 5572
