Let Principal=₹x
Time =5years
Rate=8%
SI=
$\frac{p \times r \times t}{100}$
$si = \frac{x \times 5 \times 8}{100}$
$si = \frac{2x}{5}$
Amount=p+si

$x + \frac{2x}{5} = 700$
$\frac{7x}{5 } = 700$
$x = \frac{700 \times 5}{7}$
$x = 500rupees$
so Principal=₹500
