Hey... I think this can be ur answer!!

- Britain consisted of four ethical groups :English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish.

-English grew steadily in power an importance and was able to extend its influence over other groups.

-the act of union of 1707 between Scotland and England led to formation of united Kingdom of Great Britain, which meant that English was able to influence the Scottish.

-the political institutions of Scotland were systematically suppressed and people were not allowed to speak their gaelic language or wear their national dress.

- Ireland was a country divided into Catholic and protestant.

-English supported the protestant to establish their dominance over largely Catholic country.

-Catholic revolts against British dominance were suppressed.

-after failed revolts by Wolfe tone an United Irishman, Ireland was forcibly merged with United Kingdom of Great Britain.

-the symbols of Britain
- >the national flag (the Union Jack)
- >the national song (God save our noble King)
- >the English language
were actively promoted and other nations stayed a subordinate partners...
